Come WRITE AND SHARE YOUR WORLD at
La Résidence d'Écriture du Faucon©
- writing residency

Open to anyone with a project requiring an environment conducive to isolation, creative renewal and sharing with others, I invite you to explore your creativity in this inspiring and soothing setting.

Whether you’re an author, translator, illustrator, photographer, musician, choreographer or researcher, come and discover this haven of peace where every moment is an opportunity to enrich your inner world.

The beauty and serenity of the surrounding nature will give you the opportunity to (re)find the energy and distance you need to develop your writing projects.
The mountains, and soon the sea, will accompany you on your journey towards the immensity of your potential!

The places to be: the sea or the mountains

In Ariège, at an altitude of 750m at the foot of the magnificent Pyrenees, near Saint-Girons, you can choose between :

A fully renovated 37m² flat

Comprising a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely private terrace. A library full of books to discover is at your disposal. You’ll be able to enjoy complete autonomy and organise your stay as you see fit. There are no time constraints here!

A bedroom-study

With access to two terraces and a private library.

Shared kitchen and bathroom.

Meals are also available.

Nature is omnipresent, and you can also admire it sitting in the large garden, which has been laid out for your inspiration.

Stays for a week, a fortnight, a month and even a day or a weekend for people close to these places who are looking for peace and quiet and concentration!

By the end of 2025, a third site on the Mediterranean coast, to the east of Toulon, will be available to you

The nearby sea, accessible on foot, the many hiking trails and the salt marshes, home to a multitude of birds, will regenerate your imagination.

A bedroom-office with en suite bathroom and access to the large terrace will make up this new residence.

Meals are also available.

Our philosophy: astonishment and high standards!

“La Résidence d’écriture du Faucon” writing residency is a private structure that is very attached to its independence of action. It develops partnerships, including financial ones, with companies involved in culture and innovation, and with private and possibly public organisations if they accept its demand for autonomy and that of its residents.

The way it operates differs from the usual criteria for other French creative residencies run by associations, which follow precise, even restrictive, specifications.

Above all, I’m looking to develop a degree of innovation and creative ambition in my writing. Astonishment in the world and in production cannot be weighed down by purely institutional or commercial diktats that reduce the creator’s already precious and limited working time. They themselves must be driven by this demand, which leads them to assert a style, a project, a structured idea…

I’ve put together a sponsorship package to put companies and residents in touch with each other so that the latter can lighten their burdens and pursue their work with a certain degree of peace of mind. I want to encourage a win-win partnership between the various parties involved. Let’s discuss this productive collaboration together!

“La Résidence d’écriture du Faucon” writing residency also works by taking direct charge of the resident’s stay. I’m always on hand to discuss work in progress: frank, well-argued feedback is necessary, but hard to come by. I take the time to listen to the author’s doubts and questions.
